IEEE Region 10 flagship conference (TENCON 2017) will be held in Penang this year at The Wembley St. Giles Premier Hotel, Penang on 5th – 8th November 2017 with the theme “Bridging the Gap”. The conference expects to welcome 500 paper presenters to the conference. We are proud to announce that Karen Bartleson, IEEE President & CEO will be delivering one of keynote addresses together with Vincenzo Piuri (IEEE fellow and 2018 President Elect Candidate) and Chuah Hein Teik (IEEE Fellow and UTAR President). IEEE Region 10 Director, Kukjin Chun will also be attending to grace the event.
IEEE Malaysia section is organizing a special industry forum on “Bridging The Gap Between Industry and Academic” as part of the TENCON program. The forum expects 100 industry participants in addition to the TENCON participants. The forum panelist will consists of prominent speakers as below.

TENCON recognises the importance of university-industry collaboration in facing the fourth industrial revolution. During the forum, several issues will be discussed related to the challenges of bridging the gap between the industry and academia. The speakers will share their experience as leaders in their respective domains on how to enable impactful university-industry partnerships. The speakers represent the triple helix elements of such partnerships (i.e. government, industry, academia). Participants will have the chance to interact with the panelist and raise issues for discussion.
