Undergraduate Final Year Project Competition (6 – 30 June 2016)

IEEE Malaysia Section invites Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering Students to participate in 2016 IEEE Malaysia Final Year Project (FYP) Competition.
It is dedicated to all Undergraduate students who just completed or currently undertaking their Final Year Project in Malaysian Universities/ Institutions.
This event is co-organized with IEEE Multimedia University (MMU) Student Branch. For more information, please contact Assoc Prof Dr P Susthitha Menon (susi@ukm.edu.my)
or Mr Abdul Raqeb (abdulraqeb.s.a@ieee.org). Submission Deadline is on 30th June 2016. 
 
For students who are interested, you just need to submit TWO items:

  1. A POSTER summarizing your Final Year Project (Softcopy Only) AND
  2. A SHORT VIDEO CLIP (less than 3 minutes) explaining your Final Year Project

 
Prizes (for each track/subject area)

  • 1st Prize: RM300, a plaque and certificate from IEEE Malaysia
  • 2nd Prize: RM200, a plaque and certificate from IEEE Malaysia
  • 3rd Prize: RM100, a plaque and certificate from IEEE Malaysia

Certificate from IEEE Malaysia will be given to all participants

Students can submit their Final Year Project in one of the following tracks (only ONE track per submission).

Rules and Regulations

  • Open for all undergraduate students who just completed or currently doing their Final Year Project (FYP) in Year 2016.
  • Individual project  or group project is accepted
  • The submitted Final Year Project project is the student’s own project work NOT other people’s work

Submission Deadline: 30th June 2016.

STEP 1: Fill in Registration Form

  • Fill in IEEE 2016 FYP Competition Registration Form here

STEP 2: Email your A1 size poster and video clip 

  • POSTER must be prepared by using this template: [A1 poster-template] and the prepared A1 poster must be saved inPDF format. Name your  file in this format:
    IEEEFYP2016poster<space> track number<space>your full name
    example: IEEEFYP2016poster Track 1 Ali bin Abu

 

  • VIDEO size must be set into 320 x 240 (4:3) size in MP4 format (or small file size for submission). It must be LESS than 3 minutes. You may use your mobile phone to capture the video clip. Name your  file in this format:
    IEEEFYP2016video<space> track number<space>your full name
    example: IEEEFYP2016video Track 1 Ali bin Abu

 

  • EMAIL the  1) .PDF poster 2) .MP4 video clip  to:   Ieeeonlinefyp2016@gmail.com
    The subject of your email must be in this format:
    IEEEFYP2016<space> track number<space>your full name
    example: IEEEFYP2016 Track 1 Ali bin Abu

IMPORTANT: IEEE Malaysia Section has the right to reject your submission if the rules are not followed
