IEEE Final Year Project Competition

IEEE Malaysia Section  invites Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering Students to participate in 2014 IEEE Malaysia Final Year Project (FYP) Competition. It is dedicated to Undergraduate  students who just completed or currently doing their Final Year Project  in Malaysian Universities/ Institutions.
 

For students who are interested, you just need to submit TWO items:

 

  1. A poster summarizing your Final Year Project (Softcopy Only)  AND
  2. A short video clip (less than 3 minutes) explaining your Final Year Project
Prizes (for each track/subject area)
  • 1st Prize: RM300, a plaque and certificate from IEEE Malaysia
  • 2nd Prize: RM200, a plaque and certificate from IEEE Malaysia
  • 3rd Prize: RM100, a plaque and certificate from IEEE Malaysia

Students can submit their Final Year Project in one of the following tracks (only ONE track per submission);
  • Track 1: Power and Energy
  • Track 2: Telecommunication
  • Track 3: Electronics
  • Track 4: Control and Instrumentation
  • Track 5: Signal and Image Processing and Analysis,
  • Track 6: Biomedical Engineering
  • Track 7: Computer Science and Information Technology
  • Track 8: Robotics and Automation
Rules and Regulations
  1. Open for all undergraduate students who just completed or currently doing their Final Year Project (FYP) in Year 2014. 
  2. Individual project  or group project is accepted
  3. The submitted Final Year Project project is the student’s own project work NOT other people’s work

Submission Dateline

  • 15th July 2014

 TO PARTICIPATE

STEP 1: Fill in Registration Form

  • Fill in IEEE FYP Competition Registration form HERE.

STEP 2: Email your A1 size poster and video clip 

  • The poster must be prepared by using this template [Download Template] and the prepared A1 poster must be saved in PDF format. Name your  file in this format: “IEEEFYP2014poster<space> track number<space>your full name” . Example: IEEEFYP2014poster Track 1 Ali bin Abu
  • The video size must be set into 320 x 240 (4:3) size in MP4 format. It must be LESS than 3 minutes. You may use your mobile phone to capture the video clip. Name your  file in this format:  “IEEEFYP2014video<space> track number<space>your full name”. Example: IEEEFYP2014video Track 1 Ali bin Abu
  • Email the  1) .PDF poster 2) .MP4 video clip to: ieee.malaysia.students@gmail.com

IMPORTANT: IEEE Malaysia Section has the right to reject your submission if the rules are not followed
