Biodata – Prof. Dr. Borhanuddin Mohd Ali
Prof. Dr. Borhanuddin Mohd Ali obtained his BSc (Hons) Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Loughborough University in 1979; MSc and PhD from University of Wales, Cardiff, UK, in 1981 and 1985, respectively.  He became a lecturer in UPM in 1985, and Professor in 2002 and served at various positions in UPM and external organizations at senior management level. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and a member of IET and a Chartered Engineer. He served as the ComSoc Chair  over several years in early 90s, at a time when the members of ComSoc are few and far between, let alone active volunteers.  He also served at various positions in ComSoc Asia Pacific Board, in which he is now the Liason Officer. Later he shifted his focus to the IEEE Section and first served IEEE as a committee member in the late 90s, became the Vice Chair in 2002, and then the Chair 2003-2004.  He also served as the IEEE Region 10 Coordinator for Meeting and Conferences in 2011, and now the Vice Chair Professional Activities Committee.  His biggest contribution was in ComSoc was organizing the hugely successful ICC16 at Kuala Lumpur, as the Executive Co Chair.  ICC is one of the flagship conference of the Communications Society. His research interest spans wireless communications including wireless sensor networks and IoT, wireless resource management, mobility and broadband wireless technology encompassing 4g and 5G. He published over 140 papers in Scopus Indexed journals and over 170 conference papers.  He is now on contract extension at UPM, after having retired in 2016 upon reaching the compulsory retirement age.
Biodata- Dato Ir. Wan Hassan Wan Mamat
Dato Ir. Wan Hassan Wan Mamat graduated with Bsc. Hons. Electrical and Electronic Engineering from University of Portsmouth, United Kingdom in 1983. He has served PETRONAS for over 33 years in various capacities and currently assigned to PETRONAS Upstream as GM/Custodian, Instrument & Control Engineering. He is a Chartered Engineer registered with Engineering Council United Kingdom and Malaysian Professional Engineer with Practising Certificate registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia. He is a Chairman of Malaysia Section, Institute of Measurement and Control UK, member of IEM, IEEE (USA) and ISA. Dato Ir. Wan Hassan has served as Board member and vice-chairman of POSC-Caesar Association (PCA) in Norway from 2007 to 2011, actively promoting “Interoperability” and lead standards development and maintenance for ISO and IEC, introduced Integrated Operations in Malaysia Oil and Gas Industry, and appointed as Patron to MOGSC IO WG and Measurement Work Group. Fond of Imparting knowledge, he served as instructor/trainer for Institute of Technology PETRONAS (INSTEP), Industry Advisor to UniKL MICET, Industry Advisor to University of Malaya and Adjunct Professor for Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Resource Person for a number of government departments and agencies. Further, he has authored and presented various papers for Malaysia and International conferences and also actively involved in social activities via NGOs and societies.
Biodata- Tuan Hj Jaafar Mohd Abu Bakar
Tuan Hj Jaafar Mohd Abu Bakar has service about 16 years at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia as a lecturer. His area is more to communication. He has 7 years experiences working at Ericson as Industries Consultant, 7 years experience serviced at Telekom Malaysia (TM) and has attached with Telekom Malaysia Research and Development (TMRND) before his last service as a COO of TMRND.
