Title: Designing, Testing and Measuring a 5G mmWave Phased Array
mmWave phased array antenna is the crucial block in the deployment of 5G FR2 network, for its steerable beamforming characteristic to provide optimum coverage. Electromagnetic simulation software is often used to design and optimize the 5G mmWave phased array. However, testing and measuring a phased array has always been the challenge. In this webinar, we will look into a new streamlined automated workflow in designing a phased array and find out about coverage metrics such as cumulative distribution function (CDF) and regulatory metrics such as spatially averaged power density (sPD). We will also look at testing and measurement methods where antenna designers can adjust and verify the beamsteering within minutes. Finally, we demonstrate the use of 5G mmWave in 4K video streaming application.
