12th Asia-Pacific International Conference on Lightning (APL 2023)
Event Description
It is with great pleasure for IEEE PES Malaysia Chapter to announce the 12th Asia-Pacific International Conference on Lightning (APL 2023) in Langkawi, Malaysia from 12-15 June 2023. The APL 2023 is an excellent platform for both worldwide academics and professionals to present and discuss the latest findings in the field of lightning discharge and lightning protection. APL 2023 will continue along the line of previous conferences held in Beijing (2003), Seoul (2004), Tokyo (2005), Guangzhou (2007), Jeju (2008), Yokohama (2009), Chengdu (2011), Seoul (2013), Nagoya (2015), Krabi (2017) and Hong Kong (2019) respectively.

Submission of full paper : 31 December 2022
Notification of acceptance : 28 February 2023
Early bird registration : 31 March 2023
Normal registration : 15 May 2023
Camera ready deadline : 30 April 2023
Conference date. : 12 – 15 June 2023
This highly-regarded conference sponsored by IEEE’s Power Energy Society aims to provide a premier platform for electrical engineers and researchers to present their works and to share experiences and ideas in lightning research with experts and scholars from around the world.
Authors are invited to submit full papers describing original research. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to the following tracks:

- Lightning Testing Standards or Guidelines of Lightning Protection

All papers submitted and presented in APL 2023 will be sent to IEEE Xplore Digital Library for inclusion in the IEEE Xplore® once they meet the requirements of an IEEE quality review.
