Web’s evolution and revolution has been phenomenal. On the heels of its steady progress, the Web is now entering into the next stage — Web 3.0. As we embark our journey towards the next generation Web, several questions pop up. What is Web 3.0? How is it different from the traditional Web (Web 1.0) and the Social Web (Web 2.0)? Can it radically change the way we currently embrace the Web, tame the “infoglut”, and provide better user experience? Is it the future of the Web or just another new buzzword? How might individuals and businesses be using Web in the near future? Does Web 3.0 present a fertile ground for further research and development? As one can expect, there are different perspectives and speculations on Web 3.0 and on what (radical) innovations it might spur.
In this talk, I’ll present a multifaceted view of Web 3.0, addressing these questions, and present a glimpse of new possibilities Web 3.0 opens up and its potential impact on individuals, businesses and IT Professionals.  We’ll also examine potential areas that deserve further research and development. Web 3.0 will become a reality soon, if not already, triggering an array of new powerful smart applications. Web’s progress is unstoppable, and we don’t know yet the Web’s full potential. You should get ready now to innovate and ride on the Web’s next wave.
