Background: What is IEEE PES DAY?


Created in 2018, IEEE PES Day is a global platform that engages IEEE PES members, volunteers, and over 700 ambassadors, who are responsible for organizing a diverse range of educational and humanitarian events and activities focused on clean and resilient power and energy technologies and solutions. Every year, during the month of April, over 900 events are organized and hosted by ambassadors worldwide, reaching around 20,000 participants in 50 countries last year.
This year, the theme of the IEEE PES Day 2023 is “Powering a Climate Safer Future.”

Roles and Responsibilities:
1.       IEEE PES Section Chapter Ambassador: Organize an event with PES Section Chapter which aligns the theme of our PES Day and submit your event.

2.       IEEE Student Branch Ambassador: Organize an event with your Student Branch which aligns the theme of our PES Day and submit your event.

3.       IEEE PES Student Branch Chapter Ambassador: Organize an event with PES Student Branch Chapter which aligns the theme of our PES Day and submit your event.

4.       IEEE PES – Women in Engineering & WIP Ambassador: Organize an event with WIE Affinity Group which aligns the theme of our PES Day and submit your event.

5.       IEEE PES Young Professional Ambassador: Organize an event with Young Professionals which aligns the theme of our PES Day and submit your event.
