Sessional Academic Opportunities (For Malaysians only)

School of IT, Monash University Malaysia

(From February to June 2017)

Position purpose

The sessional academics at Monash University are expected to be involved in a number of activities in relation to the delivery of our courses. This includes tutoring, conducting laboratories, marking, consultation with students and other academic activities. This position reports to the Associate Head (Education) of the school and Programme Coordinators (where necessary).

Key selection criteria

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or any other related area.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal/negotiation skills and capacity to work effectively with academic and administrative staff, individually and as a member of a team.
  • Able to teach subjects in the areas of Programming (Python and Java), Mobile Application Development, Networking, Computer Systems and Security, etc.
