Description We are looking for a full time research candidate to work on a research project in the area of gait profile recognition using extreme learning machine approach. Suitable candidate is expected to register a MPhil (2 years) or PhD (3 years) research programme at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus.

Project description:
• To develop a theoretical framework describing the correlation between electromyography (EMG) signals and the resulting gait trajectory using extreme learning machine approach

• The candidate must be a Malaysian
• Possesses a Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electrical and Electronics Engineering with second class upper or above
• Knowledge and strong interest in sensor signal processing and artificial intelligence
• Good communication skills and fluent in written and spoken English

• Full time scholarship and stipend is available, details to be discussed with the supervisor
