IEEE Robotics and Automation Society Malaysia Chapter is proud to organize PhD Forum in IEEE-IRIS2015.
The doctoral (PhD) Forum is one of many special programs organized as part of the IEEE-IRIS2015.
The 3-hour, interactive session will be held on the second day (19th October 2015) of IEEE-IRIS2015.
Completing a PhD is an odyssey. In fact, successfully undertaking a PhD degree requires self-determination, diligence, and the capacity for critical but constructive thinking as well as a thorough understanding of the relevant academic discipline.
Participants of the IEEE-IRIS2015 conference will consist of current and future PhD students, including other interested parties. Each individual has his/her own different expectations, perspectives and experiences on PhD. The PhD Forum provides an opportunity for a group of PhD students to discuss and explore their research interests and career objectives. As such, the PhD Forum aims to provide a setting for mutual feedback on participants’ current research projects and guidance on future research directions. In addition, the Forum will be the hub for the development of a supportive community of scholars and a spirit of collaborative research support for a new generation of researchers by offering advice about academic, research, industrial, and non-traditional career paths.
Hence, this program will be divided into two parts: 2 Keynote Addresses by two eminent professors and the PhD Forum. Participants will also be given the opportunity for a Q&A session.
