IEEE SCOReD 2017 will be held at the Everly Hotel, Putrajaya, Malaysia on the 13th and 14th of December 2017. The IEEE Student Conference on Research and Development (SCOReD) has been a successful series of annual conference since 2001. In line with its predecessor events, the IEEE SCOReD 2017 is focusing on the findings by research students, post-doc fellows and research associates in the institutions of higher learning pursuing research degrees exploring various fields including electrical, electronics, communication, biomedical engineering, materials, renewable energy, mechatronics and professional engineering ethics. The IEEE Malaysia Section has transformed it into an event that is going beyond the borders of Asia Pacific Region. The IEEE SCOReD 2017 is organised by the IEEE Malaysia Students and co-organised by Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, UPM Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and the IEEE Student Branch Universiti Putra Malaysia. Background

The IEEE Student Conference on Research and Development (SCOReD) has been a successful series of annual conference since 2001. In line with its predecessor events, the IEEE SCOReD 2017 is focusing on the findings by research students, post-doc fellows and research associates in the institutions of higher learning pursuing research degrees exploring various fields including electrical, electronics, communication, biomedical engineering, materials, renewable energy, mechatronics and professional engineering ethics. The IEEE Malaysia Section has transformed it into an event that is going beyond the borders of Asia Pacific Region. The IEEE SCOReD 2017 is organised by the IEEE Malaysia Section and co-organised by the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and the IEEE Student Branch (IEEESB) UPM .

All accepted papers will be submitted to IEEE Xplore and will be included in IEEE Xplore digital library ISBN 978-1-5386-2126-4 (subject to the approval of the IEEE Technical Program Committee) and hence indexed in SCOPUS.
